Layer upon layer, from sandstone through greensand to chalk. The sedimentary history of the cliffs along the Jurassic Coast.
In the mustone at the base of the cliffs on Branscombe beach you can find nuggets of crystallised gypsum.

The cliffs are very unstable, especially in the winter time. Here at the top of the cliff the field is slowly slipping towards the edge.
